W4 Games was proud to co-sponsor the Godot booth at Gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany. The booth was located in the business area and was open for three days.
We had a great time meeting with fans, customers, and developers of the Godot engine. We showcased our console ports, with the TPS demo running on an Xbox Series X. We also had an interactive demo of Planet Chasers, a multiplayer game that uses our W4 Cloud services. We’ll be publishing more information about this game soon. The game was running in two Steam Decks which were networked via wi-fi and cell phone data. Even so, the game suffered no playability issues. We also demoed the same game running on a Nintendo Switch™.
We had a lot of positive feedback from everyone who came to the booth. People were impressed with the quality of our console ports and the performance of our W4 Cloud services. We are excited to continue working with the Godot community and to help make Godot the best game engine it can be.
